I went to Costa Rica in mid January 2004 and here are my pix! My trip was only a week, but I had a great time nonetheless. You can check out my pictures here or just look at the two cool movies.

My itenerary was heavily influenced by prep work done by my Minister For Travel Affairs & List Making: Liz Pallatto - You can see the agenda that she made for me here. It was really good actually and I used it as a baseline for much of my activities.

I traveled from San Jose, to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve near Santa Elena & then to Arenal to see the volcano & then finally to Playa Tamarindo to see sea turtle nesting & hang at the beach. The highlights of my trip were the sea turtles (unfortunately you couldn't take pix) & a night tour of the cloud forest at Monteverde.
